Buying lottery software online?
Well, I’m not playing lottery that much recently but still interested in it. Actually, I would like to buy some lottery software. Wish I can go to a store and buy it but unfortunately, such software is offered only online requiring some online money transactions and a lot of personal info. Just wonder if any BB member has had any troubles after buying lottery software online, especially ones not considered domestic?

Tomtom .....I have had no problems ordering on line from multiple vendors. I will tell you that I now use only the GH program on a daily basis. This program is the best when it comes down to number statistics and ease of use....all my other lottery programs are collecting dust. The software is all you require since a decent manual comes with the program...the wheelling program she sells is worth the money for it's ease of use.
The books she sells are the same old , same old. If you've played the lottery 3 months you don't need her books. The other neat feature is the Sunday update where all lotteries in the Database are updated weekly. If there's one program you'll buy that you won't feel ripped off on....win or lose....it's this one...IMHO.
Best of Luck
Sorry tomtom I got away from the point of your question and went into a GH rant....It's simply after being ripped off by so many software vendors that when I find something worthwhile I feel obliged to promote it.

Thanks Karnac. I tried to write my own lottery programs, but considering the time it is necessary to write and test it, it seems it is really better to buy and try something that appears to be fine, and save a lot of time. Especially these days, our CAN $ stands pretty good in view of the usually US $ priced lottery software.
Of course, it is necessary to search a bit for something that really might work and it's worth trying.

Thanx Mirage,
I believe once downloaded something with a quite similar name .That thing required some intense registrations even to try it with a quite few functions disabled. And if I remember good, the fully functional version was OK only for a certain period of time, and it was necessary to renew it by paying again and again, so kicked it from my HD with a smile. Well, probably it was something else with a similar name…

...you are thinking of writing a lottery program ...unless you are a damned good programmer with exceptional creativity, forget about it ...

Wonder why do you think some extreme experience in programming is essential in order to write a simple lottery program for personal use, that doesn’t need to have whichever nice appearance, doesn’t need any serious error trapping since the creator is at the same time the end user, and generally is based on some FORs and IFs. In my opinion, only a bit more knowledge in math is important to some extent.

A simple program simply does not work... ...for something like 6/49 to do the job right, you need a tremendous amount of data collected in such a way where it is reliable/stable... ...from there, you need an effective to put it all together. Things like hits and skips counted is much to lame... ...its way more invovled.
To give you an idea, for 6/49 there are about 1,900,000 quints... ...if you can identify/isolate a perfect quint in lets say 125,000 quints you are getting somewhere as a starting point. Instead of 14M, you are dealing with around 2M instead.
As for pretty windows for users who know almost nothing more beyond using the mouse, my programs are 100% in the DOS environment... ...no menus or silly pictures which is all marketing BS.
Those who are searching for the ultimate answer with their formulea are way off ... ...a more down to earth approach is much more effective . Its not easy... ...super difficult to avoid loss after loss most of the time... ...its one of those where you'd hear "don't try this at home folks".
Regards,
George

Well, LT doesn’t like to see that much links to another forums even if they are about programming and I agreed with that. Therefore, I will not point to some really nice possibilities in programming available for solving any lottery related problems, and how actually a simple but pretty powerful very basic lottery program might look can be found at this BB

It’s more than enough to make all quints, and to filter some just for beginning.

No, you are missing the point... ...125,000 instead of 1,900,000. I never deal with 2M quints (that would be insane). There are ways to weed out the bad ones... ...when you do that correctly, you are playing .
A little hint... ...what if you could collect sets where no more than 2 hits were in all of them (this is SUPER difficult to pull off)... ...keeping in the frame work of 125,000 sets, the ones left are the ones you want .
Regards,
George

Well, congratulations if you are starting with that many in no doubt accurate quints...without previously thinking about 2 hits...

...nothing is 100%... ...there are times when it does not work out... ...thats the lottery for you... ...when you get one which is a stinker, ignore it and in some cases learn from it in some way... ...this stuff is not easy, its really a challenge to build something which does the job right ...

It seems that you guys from ON are quite lucky regarding possibility for ignoring a lottery game...having a quite few available games there. The guys from the Atlantic side have even more possibilities. BTW, have seen on TV someone won something like near 6 million playing in a Niagara Falls casino there. Maybe trying to ignore all lottery games for a night , heh...?

tomtom,
imo, using relatively simple tools can make a difference, a lot of difference. It needn't be as complicated as some on this board suggest. For example, I don't think GH uses anything very complex. It's just common sense.
I don't use GH software myself, but I use most of her principles.
