Stumped on this particular wheel

Please help this newbie! Can someone explain to me the following wheel, found at Lotto Designshttp://lottodesigns.50megs.com/designs/index.htm)

It's the second one down...LDop( 49, 6, 3, 6 )= 18

49 = total numbers wheeled
6 = size of set
3 = guarantee
6 = if results include
18 = number of plays

1 2 3 4 5 6
1 7 8 9 10 11
2 12 13 14 15 16
3 7 17 18 19 20
3 8 21 22 23 24
4 7 21 25 26 27
5 9 17 22 25 28
6 10 18 22 26 29
10 19 23 27 28 30
11 20 24 25 29 30
12 31 32 33 34 35
13 31 36 37 38 39
14 32 36 40 41 42
15 32 37 43 44 45
15 33 38 40 46 47
16 34 38 41 43 48
31 42 44 46 48 49
35 39 41 45 47 49

I tested a couple of 6/49 scenarios through it, but couldn't get the 3 number guarantee. Is the wheel flawed or missing lines? It seems too good to be true: wheeling all 49 numbers, of course all 6 drawn will match from your 49 wheeled, so how do you achieve the 3/6 guarantee?

Please advise and thanks for your patience

Hey t_t_j,

first I have to say that site is saturated with popups!

It would be great if the wheel could produce what it claims (unless I'm misreading the guaranty) in 18 lines but the record for 49,6,3,6 is about 160 lines ... can't find the best wheel at the moment but here's one that was the best till ~ 2000, go here .

update: looks like the key is in the terminology - LDop

o = optimized, p = partial design, maybe the wheel is not finished yet ...

The whole site seems incomplete and screwed up, it kept changing windows without prompting ... would liked to have read more, it seems to have some interesting designs.

This is an interesting site, except for the popups. You have to be careful with these wheeling sites to make sure that what you play is what you expect.

I noticed the following statement:

"Please note that a LottoDesign does not have to be a Covering Design"

I interpret this to mean that the wheels that are posted may not be 100% covered, that is the design may not provide the guarantee 100% of the time. I believe this is the case with the wheel you posted - they don't mention the cover for that wheel - it may be 80% that's why you can get combos that don't give you 3of6.

Hey Beaker,

do you know of a wheel like the one above, without a full cover, that doesn't have combos like 1.2.3, 2.4.6, 10.20.30 etc but retains the 'good' threesomes ... either designed that way or a 'filtered' version of the Record wheel ?

One other thing comes to mind ... this might be a bit since it's off the top of my fuzzy head ... but are there statistics on sums of three numbers (bell curve) ?

Hey Brad, have not seen a wheel like you describe other than a DN wheel but if I run across something I'll post.

I haven't seen a curve for triples either - batting 1000 here! Should look something like low= 6 high=144 centered around 75.
