Goswinus just gave me the permission to post his two best sets for the Canadian 6/49 and the Super 7!
For the Canadian 6/49 If you take the 6 numbers that comes the most often you will see that you don't have that many match 4-5 or 6...Goswinus went further and found the best overall performing set of 6 numbers for that lottery...

For the 6/49---12-20-34-39-41-43

Now make some projections using these numbers by mixing them with some others....talking about some long term sets...you will see that in some cases you will have 5 good numbers out of 12 in every 75 draws.....no jokes Folks!

First Lets compare the best 6 numbers (numbers that have come the most)31-27-47-34-43-42 with these

Just wondering if this is still the case with these Best Sets of Numbers..

After 1960 draws and without considering the bonus number, I get the following results (WN is Winning Numbers)

For numbers 12 – 20 – 34 – 39 –41 – 43:
0 WN – 836 times
1 WN – 801 times
2 WN – 259 times
3 WN – 54 times
4 WN – 10 times
5 WN and better – never

For numbers 31 – 34 – 47 –27 – 43 – 20 (the 6 numbers having come out most often):
0 WN – 763 times
1 WN – 824 times
2 WN – 318 times
3 WN – 50 times
4 WN – 5 times
5 WN and better – never

For your information, with totally random numbers, you could expect something like:
0 WN – 854 times
1 WN – 810 times
2 WN – 259 times
3 WN – 35 times
4 WN – 2 times
5 WN and better – never

So it looks like the proposed “Best performing set” still performs fairly well but is it the best? I have not checked the nearly 2,000,000 possible 5 numbers combinations.

But then how do you define the “Best performing set”
- The one with most 3 WN?
- The best combination of 3 WN and 4 WN? And at what ratio?

To me, any combination that would have produced 5 WN at least once but preferably twice would get my vote.

Interesting...But why not 6 WN numbers coming up once or twice? Hoping for them to hit all together again? And keep in mind that you can play other numbers with them...playing some wheels...I'm not saying that it is better but I think that my personnal choice would still be to go or vote with the most 3 and 4 numbers hits....
