Thumbs up Tips for Winning Pick 3/Pick 4

Pick 3 & 4 Players,

I'm going to give you some of my favourite tips that i've used to get my picks for pick 3 and pick 4...... feel free to add your own tip(s) or twists to some of my tips. Some may seem very elementry to some vetern players .... but I think that this thread is more for those who are want to play pick 3/4 or for those lookin for a little edge in their game

Play both BOX & STRAIGHT's (get the best of both worlds )

Play only UNMATCHED combinations (examples: 123, 098, 567)
unmatched combinations happen about approx 70% of time for pick 3 and about 45% time for pick 4.
When playing unmatched combinations using a 4,5,6 or 7 number wheel might help! I use Blitzed website crazynuts.hollosite.com/daily3_pick3_lottery

Play PAIRS (examples: 12x ..... 121,122,123,124,125,126,127,128,129,120)

Playing STRAIGHTS
Using a permutation generator you can create all of the combinations for a certian number (example: 1,2,3 - 123,132,312,213,231,321)

Playings recent winning combinations again!
This method works best for Pick 3. If you replay a certain winning number the next 3 - 4 draws (happens more than you'd think! check your games history and see if its worth chasin after recent winners)

Playing OVERDUE combinations or pairs
Patience is the key to this method! If you take the time to sort through all your combinations for your game and see which combinations hit & when ..... you'll find that certain combinations might be HOT/COLD/OVERDUE .... if you dive a little deeper into the history you might find that durning certain month's might be HOT/COLD/OVERDUE as well as certain combinations
(Ont. Pick 3 example: The combination 109 is overdue for pick 3 it last hit Oct 16/07....it only hit twice in July and both of the times it hit in july it was 109)
For overdue pairs all you need to do is track when pairs hit durning your games history ....... if you see that a certain pair has been out for a very long time it might be worth chasin after it! Pairs are also like Hot/cold/overdue numbers...... if a certian pair has been out for a very long time and finally hits contiune to play that pair it may turn hot and show up several times in the next 10 draws.

Mirror Effect

01234
------
56789

so ...... 0=5, 1=6, 2=7, 3=8, 4=9

(example 920 = 475)

This is just a way of manipulating the your winning combination.

+1/-1 Strategy
Adjust your winning combinations in this manner....

+1/-1
927
038
149
250
361
472
583
694
705
816

did you follow that?...... all i did was add 1 to 9 = 0, 1+2 = 3 and 7 + 1 =8 ....so from 927 i got 038....etc. etc. until i came back to my original number

I have some more tips and tricks ....... but i post them later...til then enjoy

Thumbs up

Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for the tips. It's a good idea to create a new thread for beginners like me who don't know all the strategies that professionals like you use in Pick 3 & 4.

It's not an easy lottery. I've been analysing results from mine and it's hard. What I did notice is that the numbers repeat a lot. In Pick 3, we had a zero for seven days in a row. Most of the times, the other numbers were a 9, a 3 or a 4.

So maybe when picking numbers, it's best to look at the past few draws. The numbers seem to be there.

Also, for a beginner, it might be best to play Box only. You have a better chance at winning obviously. Once you have that mastered, then look for straights as well. That's what I'm doing. These days I've been working on Keno but I have not given up Pick 3 just yet.

Looking forward to your next tips. I'm sure others will find them useful and hopefully others can join in with their tips as well.

Thanks Robertlanglois,

Well Robert it is always a good idea to play a mix of Hot/cold/overdue ....espcially Hot numbers because like you said they may just pop up 7 draws in a row.....

I like your informatives, Jimmy70. Though old hat to many players lots of times even old players don't know it all. Fresh views of a worn out subject is always welcome.
* What Jimmy70 has given on his page applies to most all pick3/pick4 games in various countrys not just for the local area!

Anyone have any thoughts for playing/picking doubles especially when the last wins are doubles?

*Good show Jimmy 70.

Thanks Teufellj!

Hummm..... i don't really like to chase after doubles especially with pick 3 but if I do feel like playing a double I usually look towards the Hot numbers to double and the last double to be the single repeat..... doubles are definetly not my fortate..... (example last draw 191 ...... hot numbers 0,2,6 so here would be my picks 001 221 166) i'm sure some other members have some thought or ideas on how to pick a doubles are winning double.

O.K. here's a little trick that i've stumbled upon that helped me pick up a few wins here and there

So what I did was make a chart for Pick 3 & Pick 4 with all the unmatched and double combinations and when they last hit.......

Then I look through my combos ......today is the 12th of July...... I would look through my combinations and see which numbers hit on the 12th of any month......i usually try to find Hot or Overdue combinations as well. This gives me usually about 1 - 5 combos to play that hit on the 12th.

(example: 12th of July - (234 last hit Oct 12/07), (311 last hit April 12/07)

Test it out with your lottery game!

Teufellj...

yup...hiya teufellj, I sometimes chase doubles again the next day.

as Jimmy mentioned, doubles are harder to hit, but whenya do they can really pay off, most especially ifya hit back to back doubles

if back to back doubles have not happened for a long time, sometimes I shoot for 'em...my best win from that has been $429 on a "straight/box" split bet.

anyway, doubles can be a tricky beast. if less than one third of my sampling of draws contain doubles, then I'll somewhat expect doubles next draw. according to probability there should be about 3doubles in a sampling of 12draws.

however, it is not wise to exclusively chase doubles for more than a few draws...a while back I shot for doubles a few days on CA Daily3...well, doubles ended up skippin for a total of 16draws! that is the longest stretch I remember seeing...had someone stuck to their guns on doubles during that period, they'd have been screwed.

so I typically focus on unmatch box wheel sets, and sprinkle in a few picks of probable doubles and hope I get lucky if doubles do drop.

cya,
blitzed

This is nothing but the daily winning rundowns that I use for checking my numbers. The winners are followed by an "=" sign and the mirrors by my code are the matches to the winners. This is for a two game daily play. I know that identical digits and mirrors will not be in the same order but will be in both columns (MD/EVE) around 90% of the time. That only the mirror will show a few times and that a total no show of either, once in a while. The full set that I use is for three months. The above version is for two weeks for demonstrations. I do extensive tracking and can tell you that almost any present winner can be found in these columns but not in the same order of the original that you are working from. The point of this showing is that most of the time you can find tomorrows winner by back checking those columns. I must physically see the digit orders to find an appropriate set not assuming any number because it is very easy to write down a wrong number and think that you placed the right one to begin with. Often I will double and triple check my figures out of habit. Once that I was used to dealing with these set columns, I can see various patterns. These tables show probable single or double digits and where they should be for the coming plays. Off and on I will incorporate my setup with what I call..."Six days for Seven" and or I may use another gimmick that I borrowed called "...an old mans zero trick."
TIPS and TRICKS...Anything that you use and or thought up that works sometimes or maybe once in a long moon, is what is best suited for your game! Why, simply because you understand what's going on better than anyone else.

Good Hunting,

Teufellj...

hiya teufellj, what program areya cut & pasting your data from?

when I cut & paste data from an Open Office spreadsheet into a forum, the column values become magically tab separated in the post.

oh and another thing someone mentioned offsets...in a number of pick3/pick4 games I've tracked, an offset +/- 2 has been the most common overall. perhaps I should run some offset tests on OH, ONT and a few others to see if an offset fo 2 still hold up across other games.

catchya later,
blitzed

Thumbs down offsets

yup, offset data seems fairly consistent across games in different states & countries...at least from the 28draw samplings I checked.

+/- 2 is the most common offset, followed by 1, then 0...then the mirror 5 offset is the 4th most common, beatin out offsets of 3 & 4, pretty wild.

Sorry about the mess in one of my previous posts but sometimes programs don't like each other! Will have to locate a bypass for my .html that keeps borders and columns.
Blitzed, you hit the nail on the head about the -2/+2. I didn't include that bit because of the problems incurred with the posting and exasperation with an electronic headache! I use Microsoft WORD Exclusively but sometimes things just want to be difficult...Hahahah

Here another little stat about pick 3 that might help when selecting number to omitt or play.......

A combination with ALL ODD OR EVEN numbers happens only 25% of the time (based on ONT Pick 3)

So based on this stat alone a combination with a mix of odd and even numbers win about 75% of the time!

For those Pick 4 players this is even more important because All ODD or EVEN numbers happen about 5%-10% of the time ...... so that gives us approx 90% of the time a mixed number wins!

Most Pick 3/ Pick 4 players already know this .... but for you beginners this will help with filtering out some combinations if needed!
