The newest introduction to the national lottery line-up will give players the chance to win jackpots starting at $10 million and can reach up to $50 million. Once the jackpot hits $50 million, LOTTO MAX kicks into MAXMILLIONS mode: the jackpot will remain at $50 million with top-prize money then being allocated to a series of additional MAXMILLIONS prizes each worth $1 million, and each with its own individual draw and set of winning numbers.


# Draws will be held on Friday nights, starting with the first draw on September 25
# Players will receive three chances to win (seven numbers each) per $5 play
# In order to win the jackpot, players must match 7/7 numbers (from one to 49)
# Odds of winning a jackpot are one in 28.6 million per play

The one in 28 Mil odds advertised is based on $ 5.00 play ( 3 lines ).
As we all know odds for current S7 is 1 in 61 Millions.
The new one is much harder and they are relying on seducing people by saying minimum 10 Mil Jackpot.
I know people will play a lot in the beginning but later on they will realize it's much harder. Even the pool funds for 5/7 has dropped in the new 7/49!
It used to be 17% now it's only 4% or so.
Sales have dropped sharply for S7 and it will be the same for the 7/49.
Here in BC to play 3 lines of Combo 8 costs $16.00 for the current S7.
Imagine paying $ 40.00 for the same combo 8 in the new 7/49!

Most likely will play when jackpot becomes 20 Mil + with work group only.
So far manged to get 5/7 in the dying Super 7 (only once).
6/49 managed to get 5/6 with group[only once and won't happen again most likely :-)] Compare that with few 4/6 with BC49.
By the way these bonus draws they are offering when 50 mil are very disappointing. Back in 1990 there were similar draws for 6/49 and we managed to get 5/6 and of course win NOTHING.
But for myself, I will not spend $ 5.00 for a chance to win 10 mil or more.
I prefer to play BC49 or Extra.

And one time i was a number away from 5 + Bonus by One tick of a number...i needed 49,i picked 48..what a strange feeling,i kept looking at my ticket ahead of time and saying to myself "...i wonder if i should reply the numbers and mix them up even more with the same group i picked already".

of course i didn't and 80 grand managed to slip thou my hands just like that..


So how is bc49 treating you?,i remember watching the news they've said it was the same odds as 649 to win...but only holding 2 million jackpot...i know thats alot of money to joe blow but greed sets in and u want more then that,i haven't myself even tried it once yet!

As for BC49 it's much better in terms of luck. Cause we get more 3/6 and few 4/6 way better than 649. Reason is we get more lines. I wanna win 2.0 Mil. I won't complain.
Problem here in BC is sales are bad for this lotto and you could see that by how many people won 5/6. It has been 3-4 months now no jackpot winner.
I wish they go back to 6/40 the way it was in the late 80's early 90's.
I wonder if BCLC would cancel BC49 and come up with expensive lotto to follow the steps of 649!
KENO is way better. I have seen people winning 5,000 twice in few days! So many other people win multiple times! But the truth is I haven't won anything in it so far. Mind you I don't play that much.
For now I will put more efforts in S7 till it dies. Then will switch back to BC49 and perhaps KENO too!

I'm looking forward to the new game although the price is steep. I love the idea of massive jackpots from the 2nd week on. Bring it on! Took way too long for Super7 to reach my participation minimum(15 million)

It's very obvious people don't play BC49. And they invest in 649. But how can I justify spending 56.00 for Combo 8! Doesn't make sense.

Are they gonna give out Free lotto max tickets if you win free plays on sept.25th on the last draw or cash?.

My retailer told me on the last S7 draw, they will give $2.00 for matching 3/7.
Same goes to Jackpot if nobody wins it, the 6/7 winners will share the 7/7 prize!

oh so their giving out 2 bucks..just wondering what there plan was.

I will probably try buying a few, I always liked S7 better then 649, won more often, just because you got those extra lines for the 2 bucks.

on July 17 /09 I had 5#'s and the plus 12,13,37.44,46 bonus 34 and only won 102.20
just enough to keep a quy sucked, hoping for that big one.
